The NB3N401S is a 3.3-V supply quad multipoint low-voltage differential signaling (M?LVDS) line driver and receiver. This device complies with the TIA/EIA?899 standard. The device provides a Type 1 receiver threshold at 0.0 V and a Type 2 receiver threshold at 0.1 V. NB3N401S supports four independent half-duplex bus configurations. Each of the four sections has pins (SEL) to select Type 1 and Type 2 receivers that can detect bus state at differential input voltages as low as 50 mV with a common-mode voltage range of ?1 V to 3.4 V. The Type 1 receiver has near-zero thresholds (±50 mV) and 25 mV of differential input voltage hysteresis to prevent output oscillations, slow signal changes, or input loss. Type 2 receivers include offset thresholds to provide detectable voltage during open-circuit, unloaded bus, and other fault conditions. The NB3N401S features a 48-pin 7 mm x 7 mm x 0.9 mm QFN encapsulation.
