The high-performance silicon-gate MC74VHC4051, MC74VHC4052, and MC74VHC4053 use silicon-gate CMOS technology for fast propagation delay, low on-resistance, and low off-leakage current. These analog multiplexers/demultiplexers control analog voltages that vary over the full supply range from VCC to VEE. The VHC4051, VHC4052, and VHC4053 are pin-out identical to the high-speed HC4051A, HC4052A, and HC4053A, and the metal-gate MC14051B, MC14052B, and MC14053B. The channel select input determines which analog input/output is connected to the common output/input via an analog switch. When the enable pin is high, all analog switches are off. Channel select and enable inputs are compatible with standard CMOS outputs; with pull-up resistors, they are compatible with LSTTL outputs. These device designs are also more linear in on-resistance (RON) with respect to input voltage than metal-gate CMOS analog switches.
