The MC74VHC1G50 is an advanced high-speed CMOS buffer fabricated on a silicon-gate CMOS process. It achieves high-speed operation similar to an equivalent bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining CMOS low power consumption. This internal circuit consists of three stages, including a buffered output that provides high noise immunity and stable output. The MC74VHC1G50 input structure provides protection when voltages up to 5.5V are applied regardless of the supply voltage. This allows the MC74VHC1G50 to be used as an interface to 5V to 3V circuits.

The MM74HC540 and MM74HC541 3-state buffers are built on an advanced silicon-gate CMOS process. They feature high drive current outputs, enabling high-speed operation even when driving large bus capacitances. These circuits also achieve high speed compared to low-power Schottky devices, while retaining the advantages of CMOS circuits, namely high noise immunity and low power consumption. Both devices have a fanout equivalent to 15 LS-TTL inputs. The MM74HC540 is an inverting buffer and the MM74HC541 is a non-inverting buffer. This 3-state control gate operates as a two-input NOR, so when either G1# or G2# is high, all eight outputs are in a high-impedance state. To enhance PC board layout, the MM74HC540 and MM74HC541 provide pin-outs with input and output on opposite sides of the encapsulation. Protect all inputs from electrostatic discharge damage by diode-connecting VCC and ground.
