MC74HC160A has the same pinout as LS160. The device inputs are compatible with standard CMOS outputs; with pull-up resistors, they are compatible with LSTTL outputs. The HC160A is a programmable BCD counter with an asynchronous reset input.

This shift register accepts serial data and provides a serial output. This shift register also provides parallel data to the 8-bit latch. The shift register and latch have independent clock inputs. The device also features an asynchronous reset for the shift register. The HC595A interfaces directly with the SPI serial data ports on CMOS MPUs and MCUs.
