FAN7631 is a pulse frequency modulation controller for high energy efficiency half-bridge resonant converter, including high-side gate drive circuit, accurate current-controlled oscillator, and various protection functions. FAN7631 features include variable dead time, high operating frequency up to 600kHz, protection features such as LUVLO, and selectable latch or A/R protection through the user-friendly LS pin. Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) technology reduces switching losses and greatly improves energy efficiency. ZVS also significantly reduces switching noise, so smaller electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters can be used. The FAN7631 provides everything needed to build a reliable and robust resonant converter, simplifying design and increasing productivity and performance. FAN7631 can be applied in resonant converter topologies such as series resonant, parallel resonant and LLC resonant converters.
