The NCP1579 is a low-cost PWM controller that operates from 5V to 12V. These devices are capable of generating output voltages as low as 0.8V. These 8-pin devices offer the best level of integration, reducing power supply size and cost. NCP1579 provides 1A gate driver design and internally set 275kHz oscillator. Other energy-efficient features of this gate driver include adaptive non-overlapping circuitry. The NCP1579 also incorporates an externally compensated error amplifier and capacitor-programmable soft-start. Protection features include programmable short-circuit protection and undervoltage lockout.
