The high-performance silicon-gate CMOS MC74HCT74A has the same pin-out as the LS74. The device can be used as a level shifter to interface TTL or NMOS outputs to high speed CMOS inputs. The device consists of two D-type flip-flops with respective set, reset and clock inputs. Information at the D input is transferred to the corresponding Q output on the next positive-going edge of the clock input. Both Q and Q outputs are provided from each flip-flop. Set and reset inputs are asynchronous.
