The FODM8801 device in the OptoHiT series is the first of its kind phototransistors, which are produced using Fairchild Semiconductor's leading patented process technology to achieve operating temperature characteristics up to 125°C. The FOD420, FOD4208, FOD4216, and FOD4218 devices consist of an infrared light-emitting diode coupled to a hybrid any-phase triac formed using two antiparallel SCRs to form a triac capable of driving a discrete triac. Switches the triac function. The FOD4216 and FOD4218 use a high-efficiency infrared light-emitting diode to provide enhanced trigger sensitivity.
